D&D and the Fuzz just don't mix

Hi-lar-ious clip from the Reno 911 cops getting called to a dispute at a Dungeons and Dragons session, featuring the ever awesome geek comedian Patton Oswalt. Note how his Boots of Escaping are no match for the policeman's bullet of ass-penetration.

How many Failsauce gamers have you played with who you would like to have seen this happen too? About a thousand, that's how many.

  1. The references to "Reno 911" and "Patton Oswalt" are unfamiliar to me. Is this clip a staged act of supposed "comedy" or is this actual footage from a real arrest?

  2. Spiral: Reno 911 is a parody of "Cops" with a camera crew supposedly following various officers around. They go on "calls" and improvise with various comedians/perps. When the series premiered I found it funny because I had just been to Reno for the first time around then and it was such a dump (around the casinos, anyway).

Patton is best known as the voice of Remy the Rat in Ratatooi(sp), but was previously best known as the sci fi geek/dungeons and dragons comedian who actually worked things like D&D and Star Trek into his bits. What I find especially odd is that PO is a lifelong D&D player, but gets a lot of things wrong (cast magic missle on my crossbow?). Probably because he was improvising with two actors who never played the game, although the "good cop" seems to be familiar with the game.
